He wouldn't have expected him to be there, 1st thing he woulda known about it was him appearing on the fucking track outta nowhere after being just missed by the car in front, if he even saw him then.

I think the issue was that yeah he most likely saw him at the last minute and wouldn't have been expecting him to be standing there.. but if Stewart had a brain fade and just gassed it s little to give the guy a scare or intimidate him.. or he gassed it to try and bring the car back down the track is something only Tony Stewart would know.. everything else is purely speculation.

Hopefully Stewart was genuinely trying to get the car out of the way.. because you'd hate to have to live with yourself if you knew you being an ass and trying to give someone 'a scare' killed them.

He already had his line before he would have known the guy was there though.. so it wouldnt have been a case of him trying to get a tight line just for that purpose.

I saw a comment on youtube saying it was unusual that Kevin Ward even bothered to have a go at Stewart. Apparently he was normally a pretty level headed guy who would check to make sure the other driver was OK if he hit them/turned them over etc. From what I've read he wasn't the sort to have a go at someone for what would reasonably be considered a racing incident. So maybe there is abit more to this story then we know?
