Alright... the update is that I'm no closer to buying anything.
Went out and took a manual M3 for a strap and to be brutally honest it was uninspiring. I've previously driven the DCT one so I figured it was just the box holding it back the feeling of a driver's car but honestly, it didn't do anything for me. Pains me to say it because on paper they are a logical choice!!Find your Freedom

I think I know what you're getting at, I have a bit of experience with the e92 M3, between family and close friends there are 4 of them. I love them but they are not an exciting car compared to many others, you don't take one for a spin and feel blown away, they can feel very underwhelming if you're used to lots of power and a bit of drama. Even the sound is not what everyone expects (I like it though). Its the engine really. Even my Brother in Law who loves his M3 to bits said that what he would really want is the C63 motor in the M3, instead he is looking at exhaust/ Supercharging. You get the feeling when driving the M3 that it needs to be at the track to get the most out of it. There the precision, balance and power band would make sense. Also as a daily the M3 would be beneficial over a lot of other more exciting cars with the smooth, usable power and the lovely interior and understated but tough looks. I guess what I am saying is I think the charms of the M3 take a little more time to win you over. However they are not for everyone, you may be looking for something with more drama and fun, a C63 coupe may be the go but no manual and thus you ruled it out.Originally posted by Morgs View PostAlright... the update is that I'm no closer to buying anything.

What is the problem with that? Is there a budget I have missed? This is my sig. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My sig is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My sig, without me, is useless. Without my sig, I am useless.

Don't bother with the new M3/M4 then (I know you won't but this is a general comment). They're a heap more "boring" than a E92.Originally posted by HSV Senator View PostI think I know what you're getting at, I have a bit of experience with the e92 M3, between family and close friends there are 4 of them. This is the type of thread that we need more of here.
Is it looking more like yank grunt and rawness is desired rather than Euro refinement?
And more of those videos Habibi. Much better too without the shit music you had on the earlier one you sent me.
