If the customer is located in either Papua or Indonesia, then I for one would like one of these for me to be able to take over at the required time, like when they turn the key.

On the whole the drivers are that shit!!!!!!

lol the first armoured vehicle I built for there. The driver picked it up off the boat and put it onto its lid into a gutter 20 minutes later..... the road was perfectly flat and vehicle speed limited.

      Go figure.

So South, do you think he should have grafted a whole LHD firewall in, instead of doing up some bracketry to mount stuff on???

Looks pretty neat and cost effective to me.

Maybe you have built more dual control vehicles than OP though.....

Fbw will be a prick guessing for prototype it would be easier to set up the original sensor under the dash somewhere driven by a servo motor or analogue output box with the additional dual state switch input as well with a more basic twin input controler for the servo/output box/motor? Double input steering rack would be nice but having housings cast would probably add time and money you don't have.

Dual FBW is easy and already solved, we have some smart leccy guys at work.

Saying that they are struggling with dual instrument clusters.

double input rack is awesome and can be done but as said previously cannot be done within our current timeline...... it may still be done though and put into the field at a later date if splined versions of the gearbox things we are to use cannot be found as the current keyway solution is a bad deal in our application.

Got the dash cut and shut today. I tried to avoid this but unfortunately Ford were out of stock with their off the shelf dual IP outer skins.

Got fuck all done today. The bevel drives for the steering are now well over a week late and aren't looking to show up until next Tuesday... highly frustrating but we have decided to fuck off the main shaft in the primary drive (I really dont want to use keyways) and will have it re-made with the Ranger OEM steering column splines.

Shuttle valves for the brakes arrived later afternoon so we can now start plumbing the brakes and clutch.

Supplier showed up and fitted the new AC unit. the top panel of it feeds into the OEM behind dash ducting.

That cut and shut on the dash is pretty neat work. Impressed.

How will all the wiring for the stalk controls not clash?

Thanks, I spent 2 full days drawing/laser cutting/bending cutting jigs before I was happy to cut it though (as well as drawing/laser cutting my own design cutting disc for my vibrating saw) . As it is I have a 1mm visible cut line both top and lower centre. Not sure I'll do anything to fill them as they almost look like they are supposed to be there.

Not my problem !!!!... I only do fabrication/mechanical/hydraulic stuff.... that electrical shit is 100% mystery voodoo to me.

I sure do, and then once built outsource it to be manufactured... It's not Australia, don't have to pay 1mil US bucks for labour.

I've got 15 dual control cars in my backyard, no shit

Ok South cool, you defo have more experience than me at building one of these (this is my first) but I simply cannot get my head around how you figure it is easier to do a 1/2 firewall graft than some simple brackets that dimensionally replicate the OEM pressings that mount the pedals ?
