As a street car

Cayman>Lotus.

And that's not because it's inferior. Quite the opposite. The Loti is a better car - so much so, that you just can't fully enjoy it on the street. So the stripped race-spec' is a shameful waste, compared.

i've always said it about 996's!
perfect for it because poor engine from factory, but already have water cooling in place, ideal for the conversion unlike aircooled stuff.

the oil pump seized momentarily (known issue) it broke the timing chain, yadi yadi, $15k later I am a wiser 996 owner.

How does an oil pump sieze momentarily? Were the bearings fucked? Which parts were replaced in the $15k repair?
