This thread confirms that only bogans (ie: me) like this sort of kitschy garage fluff.

At least ALLMTR will be able to pick one up for $150 off Gumtree from Derryn in Woy Woy when old DezDawgz accidentally spends all the Cenno-link moneys on ice

They're cheap for the quality. These were made by a very reputable manufacturer I remember their release! Still want one actually!

There's some cool things to keep in mind, such as the drawer width is slightly wider than their other offerings which means their 187pce Tap & Die set actually fits in a drawer. (which I thought was handy)

The locking mechanism is a simple strong system where you just lift the base of the handle on the drawer as you pull out. No plastic clips like SP etc that can break..

Overall the drawers are deeper than most other kits but you get one less. The top box bolts to the bottom box with a bracket on the back which is good piece of mind.

Yeah, fuck that. I don't mind the look but can think of better things to spend $800 on...

A 'normal' looking tool chest like that is about $700 though, so its really only $100 extra for the fancy one.

If I had a fancy garage I could justify it, but I dont.

I really like the cream one, the blue one comes second for me, much cooler then the normal ones, and if you give a fuck what the other blokes think of you while you wheel it in, then you are more of a fucking poof then the guy who would wheel it in.

I've got one in the off white/cream colour. Quite well made and the finish is excellent. The top hatch alignment is a little off on mine though. It was indeed circa $800 although I think we got a modest discount due to being return customers. It was my Christmas present last year, love it. Now to build a hot rod/buy a 50's car and get away from the rotaries!
