Doing some stupid shit to an old datsun head

Starting with an open chamber U67 L20B casting - it doesn't really matter which head I started with as long as it is a big port one, you'll see why in a sec.
Aiming to make a really, really powerful 2L datto:

Got it all stripped down, seat inserts & guides out back to a bare alloy casting, then out with the TIG welder & spend a couple of hours making rods disappear:

Snip some time while I straighten out the head (bent about 1.5mm from all the welding), then on to the mill, rough the welds down to .040" from the original face & then peen the bejesus out of the welds to compact & work harden the softer welds:

Mill it down to a clean surface:

Top face gets a light skim to get it nice & flat:

    Same goes for manifold face:

    That's that bit done:

Now I've got a clean slate casting to play with, I'll be putting in my own design combustion chambers & doing some other stuff as well, I'll post some pics as I go.

What cc in the chambers are you aiming for?
if you get this far after reading the above, good on you!
If i make spelling mistakes, syntax errors, or just mss letters in words, it is because i am lw vision/vision impaired.
Dont drive or race no more. Bit of a cunt of a thing.
I cant see what keys my fingers hit when i type.
Its called Cone and Rod Dystrophy, un fixable, i get worse, its a hereditary cunt f a thing.

That's going to run shit mate, I'd clean it up a bit before assembly.

I went through this in the 80s with my Group G rally 1600. I had an FIA Round port head tho. I had no problem out running the Works Stanza in a Straight line.
Just can't kill a well built L20B. I used the Aussie block and ran 160thou oversize bore and 13.2-1 comp.

The thing ate an FJ20 Gearbox every event.
