    classic look roof racks

Just putting the question out there if anyone knows of a place that makes old school style roof racks that are either made to order or universal??

I see there are lots out there for VeeWees but nothing universal.

Any out there, even better if in Brisbane so I could pay them a visit?

I got a set of gutter grip bars, the type where you elevated the crap of the rear bar, so your surfboard on the EH panelvan was pointing down at a ridiculous angle,,,,apparently,,,,

Will sell. They are no lnger ,made.
if you get this far after reading the above, good on you!

Will you also be looking for camber arms and a cap brim press?

edit: wait, you will need these for your road trip to Winton....never mind me.

I've taken some standard gutter-clamping roofracks from ChrisS and remade the cross bits in teak

Have seen this done to good effect. Was thinking the same for the Benz. Sam let me know if you find someone good, I might grab some for mine too.

I made a set for my mk1 golf using tube steel, pipe cutter and plumbers pipe bender

Colour was shit (ran out of time and used some shitty aldi paint).

Going to make a new set for my datsun wagon when the time comes, but use bamboo slating over the runners.

I'm fairly sure I saw a new retro styled Esky brand cooler recently. More of a 70's/80's look rather than the 50's style of the Kinchrome products. If you want that look check out the Kinchrome and give them a sand/wack them with a hammer.
