I think some people need to find out the meaning of economic write off. A couple of dents in the wrong spots and paint damage on a late model >$15k new car and it can be an economic write off. 4 year old Colt, palm sized dents in the A pillar, roof rail and C pillar, just from leaning on the bloody thing, and paint damage on every panel, metallic paint, would have been enough to write it off. Just the respray would write it off, car was traded for $4500.
If Don Mega was buying cars like that, throwing some bog and giving them a quick paint job then it's no worse then some cheap shit car yards.
It's not like he'd be buying wrecks and cutting and shutting them.

Much easier to sell a car if you do not have to tell the buyer it is a repaired write off. If a buyer performed due diligence though they would still know it was a write off.....
