Porsche warranty on new cars is worldwide I believe. From their site "The warranty will be honoured by any global Porsche Centre"Originally posted by Forg View Post145,773 GBP or $298,901.87 AUD post-tax is 121478 pre-tax, or AUD 249570.
Add 10% GST that's 274527.
Add LCT that's 344270.
So it's $478k vs $345k.
Yes it's cheaper, but there can't be that many people saying "I can afford a car for $350k with no warranty but I can't afford one for $500k"?
I'd obviously choose the same thing for $350k over $500k, who wouldn't; but I can't imagine being to afford a $350k car and instead spending $500k making any difference to me.
Maybe I just can't imagine having that much toy-money.

Was just going to post that, makes things very interesting for someone who just bought new. I'm not too concerned as I think mine might actually be cheaper here.Originally posted by Greasystick View PostPorsche warranty on new cars is worldwide I believe. They'll change that.Originally posted by Greasystick View PostPorsche warranty on new cars is worldwide I believe. From their site "The warranty will be honoured by any global Porsche Centre"
http://www.porsche.com/australia/acc...tion/warranty/Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Yeah some are actually trying hard.Originally posted by CussCuss View PostOn another note, well done lotus, pretty much the same price in the UK as here for an exige s.
Land Rover surprises me with the Range Rover Sport SVR, it's $245k here excluding on-roads, after checking the tax-free UK prices and calculating it comes out at $230k, and that's with $40k of LCT thrown in the mix.Jaguar XJR, Freelander 2 HSE, Jaguar XKR, MINI Cooper S

I doubt it. It's already in play in Europe and North America and its from the manufacturer, I don't think the 10 or so cars that might come this way under this scheme to aus compared to what is moving between other countries will trigger a change to global warranty rules.Originally posted by Forg View PostThey'll change that.

You would be smarter (??) to import something that similar but not the same as a locally delivered vehicle.
AWD BMW 3 series Wagon? 335D Xdrive saloon, or a manual version of a car that only comes her in Auto.[/QUOTE]
That's what I'm thinking after reading about the exact car above in EVO.

I don't think you understand how difficult it is to buy a special edition of a Porsche from a dealer in the UK.Originally posted by Aaron View PostI really think they're carry a "regular" range of cars here in the case of Porsche, then "hook you up" to get their special editions and the like via your personal allowance. But I'd presume ADR themselves go bye bye with all these changes too.
