        Josh Sady Toyota.

Broke trim pieces on my dads brand new RAV4 and lied about it, tried to cover it up with electrical tape etc. How does a mechanic break a drivers footrest pedal while it’s having a service?
Wouldn’t do anything about a faulty gearbox, ended up going to another dealer which was far better. Got changed under warranty.

30 years of Toyota ownership ended with the Josh Sady service department.

Anyone know of a bmw specialist in SE Melb? (E46 stuff)

+1 for Michael south @ MSR , he did the TBE and tune on on my XT Foz at a very good price , i was going to get it done at MRT but after a bit of Google research I read a couple of unflattering reviews and found MSR which had nothing but praise from his customers , i'll go back there for anything else.

MRT has abit of a weird reputation, some people reckon the sun shines out of his arse, other's want to shove his head up there. Funny thing is I've been seeing the same comments about him for the last 20 odd years!

Maybe he/whoever looks after his trailers etc should stop blocking Wilson Street in Nth Ryde? They've created a nice little bottleneck there.

I think MRT rep comes from the big $ builds which are quality because they have lots of cash thrown at them and their rep on the line. The day to day stuff is where the other side comes from.

Just read that Brett Middleton sold MRT a few years back.

FIL in has a 2004 Outback, needs a new oxygen sensor. Went to Subaru in Mudgee... got quoted $509 for a new sensor. Same thing available on ebay for $50. Absolutely disgusting.

                        Yeah, that's pretty rude.

When i did pads and rotors all round on my HSV they wanted something stupid like 5k at the dealership. Racebrakes sold me both items for around 2k and my local mechanic slugged me $200 and a case of Coronas to fit them. It was Xmas week i guess ?
The older i get, the better i was...

You sure it is the same thing? Subaru O2 sensors are really expensive for genuine. Also really expensive for NTK. A $50 one is likely to be a piece of shit.

You guys are surprised dealerships aren't giving you eBay prices?

My trade price can't compete with eBay; not even close. Let alone retail.

I'd expect it's a no name one... I had to get one for the rangie and got one off Amazon, just because it actually had heaps and heaps of verified purchase reviews...some of them had woeful reviews and they weren't really much cheaper...

                                Seriously fuck off.

I would get my old Liberty GT parts out of a dealer in the US (cos my Japanese is non existant) and it would be hundreds of dollars cheaper after being air freighted to Perth.

Local Subaru dealers would tell me a stupid price then comment "..and it's a six week wait"

Now lets look at a Commodore water pump from Supercheap. Eight week wait for a Gates one at almost $400. Six day wait and under $200 to my door from Rockauto.

Sump plug for a 4L60E is $10 delivered from a bunch of OS online sources and $46, yes $46 bucks from Supercheap. And I'm only using them as an example, it's rife from all resellers.

Someone is taking the piss because I honestly don't think Supercheap or any other store is making those margins.
