definitely doable on the ground, as already said, much easier with a hoist.

alternative I've seen done, is it's only the diff bolt that stops you doing it without removing the sub-frame - so drill a suitably sized/placed hole in the wheel well. find a rubber gromet to fill it when done.

Working out a solution for being able to connect stuff from the ute canopy back into the cabin. Power is easy given the availability of Anderson plugs. But looking for something weatherproof to connect a few signal lines and the reversing camera. Before i just slap on an 8 pin Deutsch panel mount plug is there anything else out there that provides a better option?

Not really, I mean, yeah sure you can get plenty of water tight connectors etc, but I tend to think the Deutsch option is generally available, and Future You friendly. It’s far easier to look at it and go “Deutsch connector, I’ll just grab some pins and rejigger as needed” versus “was this weird AMP Seal using 2.5mm or 2.54mm pins, and do they do them for 3mm wire or …”

I mean you could just get some molex plugs and backfill with your preferred goo.

Really hate spending money on the nugget but I'm getting some vibrations when accelerating and turning corners while accelerating and some wierd rear end swaying at speed, it feels like a poorly loaded trailer on the back sometimes. Feels a bit unsafe.
Holesaw the spare wheel well and do them in the car, like taxi companies do.

                            What about the front?

I stuck my head under and the rear bush doesnt look obviously bad. I need to get it up on stands for a proper look.

The BF doesn't deserve a grommet.

Yeah, true. Now considering whether I stick with the Deutsch panel mount, or I use a solar gland like this: https://www.jaycar.com.au/white-abs-...point/p/HS8866 and shroud standard Deutsch connectors inside/under it...

Easiest option is waterproof cable glands, our new Dmax breakdown vehicle uses them for all it's wiring into the canopy. If you want the ability to quickly unlug stuff though, which using an Anderson plug makes me assume you do, then a DIN plug or similar would be your best bet.
