If you already own the vehicle and you are just transferring rego from one state to another, there is no stamp duty payable.
If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.

Police warn that blow-up dolls are not recognised floatation devices.

Technically you're not transferring registration as you can't transfer between states, you're establishing new registration.
But no stamp duty payable AFAIK when you already owned the vehicle.

Anyone know why petrol pricing has suddenly jumped 40c per litre seemingly overnight?

I made my mrs wake up earlier to fill it up on her way to work. Fuck that noise, $25 extra over a 60L tank aint a little bit

Quoted for truth; three 7-11s on the same street 5km apart - two had 1.64, one had 1.26. The amusing part is two of them are 800m apart....

I heard this morning due to boats being nicked, the cost of insurance has gone up.

Oh, is this being claimed by the petrol companies to be related to the games being played by the Iraqis & "the West" over each other's tankers?
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

So, do these pre-turbo inline oil filters do much?

Considering one as an easy way to get something of reasonable size to clamp to for the oil pressure/temp sensor mount... overkill much.

The non-M3 SMG is a ZF gearbox and it is different to the SMG Getrag in the M3.
They aren't really an SMG though are they? I thought they were SSG's, hence the different manufacturer. It's a selespeed like you'll find in alfas. Not only is the gearbox different, but so is the electronic control system which is the biggest difference, I think they share a lot of hydraulic components between SMG and SSG. Do you want the complexity of clutch parts + electronics in a 15 year old car? Id probably just buy an auto if thats what the mrs wants. It's still like $1000+ for a pump repair, at some point in its life you're going to have to spend money on clutch and hydraulic components that would cost more than having the ZF 5HP completely rebuilt to make it shift nice and smooth again. Yet, after all that, you'll still have the original mile manual transmission behind all the tricky shit. How much are you really going to be driving the car? Id also be buying an auto.

And normally you cant get a boot for it, you have to replace the CV, which is probably why you are having issue finding boots if thats what you have been looking for?
