Not exactly a barn find - the guy's been known as ahoarder to locals since the 80's, and finally realised he won't get around to restoring them all - Finch Restorations aren't selling them, they're advertising for an agent - incidentally an agent who's fucking slack at responding.

The guy that is managing the sale has had some cool stuff himself, he used to have a really cool house in the hills with a historic formula ford (I think) mounted on the wall in the living room and two GT40's in the garage. This was in the late nineties and while I'm not sure if they were real or replicas, they did look genuinely old and he'd said he had previously had a 2000GT (at the time they were just known as the pretty Japanese sports car they cut the roof off of for a James Bond movie, not the million dollar plus collectable they are now) so I guess there's a chance they might have been the real deal

I remember that 2000GT being in Unique cars when he sold it - it was a $30,000 car in the *very* early 90's - when XY GTHO Ph3s cost the same as a second hand XF...

Was that the red 2000GT? Is it still in Adelaide?

I saw it on a "Climb to the Eagle" event in Nov 2003 from memory.

                      I could give the GPS co-ordinates, but I won't. It's Adelaide hills - Kersbrook-ish.

250 Tour de France not loading.

Doesn't look like to many rare cars to me. More like a lot of cars/brands no one cares about.

Isn't it a "shed find", not being in the USA?
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

It's not even a find - the old dude selling them knew they were there the whole time. Fuck, I know they were there in the 80's.
