Anyone leasing one of these and able to provide some feedback on what your maintenance and consumable costs are? Looking at leasing one but the estimates I've been given are far too low.

Can't you go fully maintained?, then thrash the shit out of it.

Lease company guys must have had a stroke when they got my servicing charges for my old STI

How many k's are you doing?

I get about 400km to a tank of BP Ultimate ($65). My last service (every 15k) was $376.09. Set of Michelin PS4S was $1605.97 (replaced at 20,000km).

            Thanks Tremolo.

Probably looking at 10k a year or so, maybe a touch more. They budgeted $360/yr for tyres which is way too low, would need at least double that I reckon. Looking at a limited as well which is the Michelin Cup 2s so doubt they'd last long

Yeah probably $2k a year on tyres then. My insurance is $789 a year (33yr old).

Also just got an email from Ford. New HG (and possibly head) going in FOC.

Recently, Ford Motor Company found that some RS Focus customers have experienced a concern with their vehicles involving an engine coolant leak which may result in white smoke coming from the exhaust system.

As part of our commitment to provide you with a high quality product, we would like to complete a preventative repair on your RS Focus to ensure that you don't experience this on your vehicle.

What will Ford and your dealer do?

Your Ford Dealer will conduct a coolant pressure test, following which they will replace the cylinder head gasket, and depending on the test results the cylinder head assembly.

                How long will it take?

The repair may take up to two days to complete due to engine heat up and cool down times as part of the testing. To minimise your inconvenience, we will provide you with a loan vehicle whilst we complete this repair.

                How much will it cost?

Repairs will be completed free of charge including the use of a free loan vehicle (excluding fuel usage).

Bloke on a US forum has just been through his recall (recall kicked off back on the 29th Jan) - they're now doing a recall on the recall... :S
Ford forgot to include the high-pressure fuel line and the fuel pump bolts in the original recall. Both of which are parts ford says cannot be re-used.
Just a heads up, make sure they replace them.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Yeah I'm in no rush to get it done. I'd rather not be the first RS the dealer pulls the heads off......might wait until they've fucked up a few before I put mine in.

Don't wait too long - apparently if you hold off too long they might not honour future warranty claims.

I got 6 recall letters over 1.5 year from Toyota before taking mine in for the power steering recall. The last few were sent registered mail LOL. Not as serious as a HG (well I guess that depend on how important steering is to you) but props to Toyota for persisting.
