Does anyone elses RS have what feels like a tuning flat spot around 2,200rpm -> 3,000rpm in 3rd?

I can almost reproduce it everytime now, seems to only happen at/near full throttle in 3rd gear only, the car like hesitates then surges off after 3krpm. Doesn't seem to happen if youre full throttle under 2,200rpm and accelerate through the revs.

It's very annoying.

Yep, taking the sweeping lights / roundabout mish mash from Alexander north bound on to Morley east bound in 3rd gear results in WTF moments when you get lucky with no traffic stopping you from having fun... instead the car stops you.
But in 2nd gear and doing the same thing results in instant loss of license if the police are watching, as it just launches around there like nothing else!

Yep I used to get that

Mash throttle low in 3rd and it feels like it just goes "nah" and won't give you any boost. Only happens very occasionally to me.

Ease the throttle to 100% at the same rpm and it's fine.

Totally different cars too, I bought an RS but love the 140i. Have done decent miles in Golf 7R and driven new CTR as well - all awesome, and all very different propositions.

140 = comfy, brawny RWD missile...probably not as hard/sharp as a CTR/RS but more than capable & the best engine/driveline combo
CTR = scalpel blade, fastest on track, incredible steering/shift action/brakes and surprisingly comfy
RS = tarmac rally car in character
7R = best all round car in the world (apart from AU)?

The fact you can get these cars for somewhere around $50k is insane. What a time to be alive
