Really??? What the fuck!! Hope that's just an isolated incident....I would be pissed off too.

He was pretty unhappy about it. He wants Ford to buy it back or replace it, not interested in a fix. Ended up having a good chat with him about the car and his ownership experiences. Paint aside he really likes the RS which makes it worse. Seats are comfier then I would’ve thought for a fat cunt like me.

Was in Bathurst yesterday and had a few starter issues so google directed me towards Bathurst Batteries so I could get the battery checked out. Got talking to the owner who had a five month old Focus RS in nitrous blue. Loves the car but not very enthused about the clear coat peeling. Pretty pissed off with Ford.

You would ... but a respray is never as good as factory (note: "never" is a slight exaggeration, you can get brilliant aftermarket paint if the painter puts in car-show levels of effort/detail, but it isn't ever going to happen in a situation like this).

It's been a few weeks since the HG was replaced and there have been no issues worth mentioning. The car is on about 14,000kms now, running nice and freely and the only engine mod i've done is an opened ended K&N which gives it quite a throaty induction sound, especially on cold start. [love that everyday]

A COBB Accessport arrived last week, just in time to try the new v300 Stage 1 Map from COBB. The flashing procedure is a bit nerve racking in the Focus, the dash lights up, flashes, beeps for about 20 minutes while it dumps the stock tune and loads the map, but all went straight forward and first impression were the map gave a small increased in performance. Not surprising as they quote about a 10% increase.

With the v300 the Accessport was logging a max boost of 20psi and it came on alot earlier & harder than standard. Definitely felt smother, got rid of the flat spot in 3rd and the hesitations/stumbling when cold at low RPM.

A Stratified tune arrived last night and i loaded it in for the drive to work this morning, and, well, fuck me, the butt dyno is saying the car feels like my 12 second Cyborg. Very impressed! Max boost is being logged at 24psi with nothing else showing concern (OAR -1, no Knock, no Ign Correction). It really feels like its picked up a shit load of power, really pushed you back in the seat and its so smooth while doing it.

I will get it on the dyno again next payday and compare the maps on the day, if it doesnt blow up before then

Finally got crap sorted for this. Just need to get the HG done before delivery, will heckle dealer Monday for an eta.



No mods, the no pics is leasing it so ‘it’s not my car’, cough.. lol.
