Front springs took me 3 hours to do and rears 1 hour with basic tools. The rear springs are easy as, just one bolt on the lower control arm.

I followed this guide https://youtu.be/K1uN1qSz2X4 with the only difference being the need to unplug the shock.

Here are the heights from ground to guard, stock vs whitelines. I don't find it any more of an issues compared to stock.

    Standard Whiteline
    Left Front 666mm 647mm
    Right Front 663mm 647mm
    Left Rear 685mm 654mm
    Right Rear 688mm 654mm

Lowering the rear only did change the handling characteristics, so when I get it back from repairs (9 weeks now) I'll be putting the fronts in as well.

Like above, its an easy job... the rear will take you longer to get ready to lift the car up and remove wheels, than it actually takes to remove and fit springs.

This is around the price I have been quoted. Will call around to dealers to see if I can beat it. Drove one today, fairly set on it as my next car. Bloody fun and performs well beyond my courage level.

I would have thought I'd be able to get closer to 50k to be honest, given now we are in August.

I paid $54,xxx in Nov 2017... should be able to get a limited edition for 54k or so I've heard.

I'd trump up for the LE if I were buying again... only shit thing is the blue accent on the seat that won't wear well.

That blue on the seat is exactly why I didn’t get an LE. Just couldn’t get past it lol.

I got my LE for 54k drive away 2 months ago.
The blue trim on seats is a pain and shows dirt fairly quickly...but I wanted the Quaife so had to put up with the trim.
Plus it has privacy tint and emergency braking and the black bits...

How did the handling change? Can you elaborate a bit on this?

Any bargaining advice? Been calling around dealers, black model in QLD for 50800 delivered to VIC with registration in QLD.

Really not keen on the blue trimmed seats. Is the LSD actually worth it?

Hard to say. According to motor? magazine they thought it actually made it feel more front wheel drive and less fun. Can always just buy one and have it fitted which was my intention should I feel it ever needs it.

Black demo in Perth for low 49k, has 600kms on the clock... Should be able to rock up to a dealer and say you want XYZ for 49k, wait for the counter and pay 50k drive away... most would have been sitting in the dealer for 6-12 months costing them money.

As for the handling question, it doesn't feel as tight or composed with only the rear lowered... it's given it a bit of understeer, perhaps a swaybar upgrade will tune that out.

I really like the look of only the rear lowered, as its pretty low in the front already and I'm getting old.

I think an LSD would be worth it though not sure how it would change the handling, I wonder if it has a different PCM calibration for the torque vectoring, RDU etc?

I don't think of the RS as AWD, it's more like FWD with rear wheel assist (sometimes).

Preferred to buy the car with it already installed etc. Rather than paying more money to buy diff, install etc etc.
