Do you care enough to wait?
Probably someone else with exactly your car on order, who's way behind you in the queue ... ?
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Cbf waiting to be honest. It's already been 6 months wait, I'm sure either will work, but secretly hoping for Sync 3. Who knows when or if it will come if you delay it.
^Maybe it's a Pommy thing but a number of things that are listed as options on the RS Focus are standard on the ST (in Australia): £1,000 for the Liuxury pack including powerfold mirrors, rear parking sensors, Ford key free system, cruise control with speed limiter and privacy glass, , £1,145 for race style RS Recaro shell seats, £465 for Ford SYNC2 Nav system including reversing camera, £85 for door edge protectors and £100 for painted brake calipers
Only thing that is an option on the RS in Australia are differerent wheels.
Is that a contributing factor as to why our cars are "so much more expensive than Europe/America"?
They pack them full of options, as we don't have the supply chain to deliver infinite configurations of cars.
To some extent yeah. For the Cayman we get climate control, upgraded stereo and sat nav, cruise control and some other bits and pieces standard when that's getting close to 5000 pounds worth of options there. Not sure if it's supply chain issues though as they were all built to order, I think it's a case of given the cost of the cars to begin with there's an expectation that they come more loaded.
Cayman has ... what, nearly $50k in just LCT? Plus Porsche anally probes Strayans, same as all the EuroLuxos. I think where historically an importer had high prices because Whatever, they still keep the prices elevated, especially as Strayans will pay it (eg. biggest per-capita market for AMG apparently).
Ford, Opel, Renault, Citroen etc etc though, I doubt they're any more over Euro prices than shipping costs & import duties would explain. I looked-up Fabia RS's a year or two back, those were $2k less here than the UK, same with Polo GTI's.
Are Focus RS's more exyy than the UK, at the same spec? It'd reduce per-car build costs for the Strayan production runs if they were all the same.
