                    Interesting that some of the reviews are mixed and some testers still prefer the Golf R.

                        He may be referring to the review I posted on the RS Forums.
                        I posted the opposite outcome on VWFanbois forums.

                        Also - I've seen a lot of reviews and I've not seen a preference for the Golf, apart from stating (the probably-obvious) that the interior is a lot more upmarket-feeling.

                        Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

                          Caradvice preferred the Golf because the Focus is apparently very difficult to live with due to the fact it's so grumpy and rough and difficult to drive (ew, a clutch pedal)......you'd swear they were talking about a farken Can Am car or something, not a hatchback

                            ^ Just read that ... kinda interesting that every other thing I've read likes the Focus because it's the most exciting, they like the Golf because the Focus is too exciting.
