It always seems to happen like this - I'd imagine a heap of people place deposits and then change their mind while waiting. Same happened with the Mustang and 86.

I just want one because it's cheap, quick and should be reliable, plus they actually look pretty subtle on the road. Perfect daily.

Did half an hour at QR on Sunday with the VW club which was fun. It was just an untimed happy laps thing but they were fairly loose with their definition of 'road speed' this time out. Car did well - was quick, fun, almost zero understeer. Only negatives were a bit of brake fade & more body roll than I was anticipating, but that's weight for you. Despite being bone stock & having a baby seat in the back it didn't seem to have much of an issue driving around Golf Rs, even if their drivers came wearing Alpine Stars race boots & had laptops plugged into them before the session making sure they were running the right tune & data logging for this most serious of endurance racing events. Got home, stuck the baby in it & went out with the family, good all rounder.

Tony Quinns pulled his entry for Bathurst 6hr. Bit of a shame with one less RS. If it was a Evo I couldn't give a damn as it nice to see a bit more variety in the field.

Anyone heard about these splitting blocks/blowing head gaskets?

Was keen on buying one but got a bit spooked this week.

Yeah it was pretty funny to see! Especially as the actual race cars were being unloaded off trailers in the pits next to us while all the little Adrian Neweys were tapping away

Yeah there's a handful of early builds that may be affected. If affected Ford just give you a whole new engine.
