Messing with throttle kickdown and the like..3 second lag that goes with it. Using the low gear holds etc.

To be fair, this was common practice back when 4 wheel drum brakes were still common. Brakes don't work very well when they get over heated, using the gears to slow down reduces how much heat you're putting into your brakes.

My Jimny was good at upsetting friends in Patrols/Cruisers. Id cop plenty of shit for it and it was far more capable than anyone expected, myself included.

People blankly look at me when I suggest a large box trailer and a $10,000 new unregistered jimny or whatever as a 4wd. Thats straight away the cost of 35's, lift kit and a rear locker. Let alone the other shit.
