Is there a website where you can search the number of a certain car/model registered in Australia.

Probably best to start with model-themed clubs.

Although they'll probably take the elitist stance and tell you there's less than there really are.

Only 17,000 produced in manual with the X3 trim pack and H41 sticker option. Rare as bro.
Marvellous things so quickly get mundane

Like the UK How Many Left site?

            www.howmanyleft.co.uk

            Mildly amusing:

For a while there there was one guy in the whole country with a registered Morris Princess L. Proof that 'rare' doesn't always mean 'good'.

Until you want to sell one on their forum, then it's all "I took five of them to Sims last week as they are worthless"

The other day on the same drive I came across a super clean beige Camira wagon (younger bloke driving it), and also a very tidy sky blue N13 Pulsar.

Saw on FacePalm today a BD 323 SS Twin Carb 3-door Hatch with Auto. That'd have to be a unicorn complete with the two-tone grey black paint and interior etc etc

Saw this on the way home:

Didn't think many were left either

Weren't they the ones with the (massive for a pommie car of that era) 4L 6cyl Rolls engine?
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

No, Forg, you're thinking of the earlier and completely different 'Austin Princess'. Completely unrelated, you heathen!

Fuck British Leyland and their 'randomly changing the name of the company' jaunt through the 60's and 70's.

Apologies ... would it help if I said I thought a V8 SD1 could be a good thing if rebuilt (from scratch & with appropriate mods that ignore certain original design components) properly?
Although I guess even if you custom rewired, fitted an LS3 and completely different drivetrain, you're still dealing with how to do the interior ...

And no a Rover 3500 doesn't count for this thread, they all died years ago!

Starting out as an apprentice over 20 yrs ago I was made responsible for keeping a 3500 vitesse running. Really made me question my choice of profession.

Saw both a First Gen Jap market Prius *and* a Capri convertible (In a Tastefull purple/green/black colourscheme) today on the way home from Amberly, had a major dose of WTF!
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
