Yeah, I find myself parking near other Beetles. Although I do wonder if the other owners notice these sort of things too.
You'd maybe be surprised how much they do. Our Commode is probably the least common colour that's currently available, on both occasions we've passed another wagon in the same colour & waved, the driver's grinned & waved back ... same response as I get when I'm waving at other 240 driving freaks when I'm in mine.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.
Two V2 Monaros at my local shops this morning and another one lives around the corner from me. Looks like everyone in my neighbourhood is getting in on the action.
I think your the only one that doesn't see them regularly? Certainly haven't disappeared to my eyes. Granted i spend way more time around western Sydney than you however.
Could be. They seemed to have disappeared for a while there. Canberra has fewer cars in that age range than most places too - people here seem to buy new and 5+ year old trade ins go elsewhere.
Sitting in traffic the other day, saw one of these.
I've been seeing them in the Sydney CBD lately, maybe a few each week. I'm really surprised how many there still are considering they didn't seem all that popular when they were new.
Yer except when you drive a Falcon on gas you either need to go hang out with the bobblers at your local taxi rank or smackies are center link to find more of the same.

Are you asking about the McLaren laptop or the WDS in my pic?
Regarding the McLaren from what I can tell it's not the actual laptop which is the big deal, it's the CA Card which was put in it, it has a bespoke custom-made interface card to talk to the ECU, not an off-the-shelf piece of hardware. I do find it hard to believe they have only one, they probably have a couple more locked in a safe somewhere.
With the WDS the multiplexer where the OBD cable (plus the various other cables for voltage, current, pressure and others) is actually integrated into the motherboard itself so it's not really feasible to incorporate it into another PC, but fortunately several thousand of the WDS units were built so salvaging from other units is still an option. The software is no problem, actually it's quite common to put in a new hard drive and make a new installation (I myself have all the software and ghost discs for reinstallation).
I suppose with enough time and money anything is possible but it's not worth investing big money into reproducing these parts.
Yea sorry, after reading the Mclaren article i understood that it clearly wasnt a simple task hahaha
Jaguar and Mclaren engineers smarter are than me?!

Saw one of those today too. I think it was the 'clubsport' version, or whatever it was called, pretty sure it had a bonnet scoop and that cover behind the front seats...
Also saw a Pug 205GTI. Damn it looked tiny with all the other cars around it.
Saw a fucked Paseo the other day. Haven't seen one for years!
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
