A ford Territory Turbo ghia thing can be had for under 10k now. I had it as a tow car for a while and it was great for towing and drove well generally. It had typical territory squeeks and rattles but nothing too concerning.
the only problem for me was the 2400kg tow rating, which is too low if you have a decent enclosed trailer.
So that tow car went for the cayenne for $14k with a 3500kg tow rating. the cayenne is better, but if I was towing under 2400kg, the turbo territory would have been just fine.

The work mates are a different animal to the 4l duel cab SR im recommending. Less payload, better interior, more power etc. Ive also towed with a 2.7 workmate. Wasnt awesome obviously, but Ive towed with much worse.Originally posted by gxxr View PostThe 2005 2.7 Hilux we've used here is noticeable less comfortable than the earlier Japanese ones, must have no decent ride/handling engineers in Thailand - and doesn't say much for the aussie ones if the Falcon is as bad. The 3.5 might be better, but need to be a bit careful with load distribution on the trailer too, had a few hairy moments. Lack of lsd on slimy driveways moving cars let alone boats on algae covered boat ramps might put me off too.
You're a fuckin headcase. The falcons ride just fine.Originally posted by Captiva Fan View Post^ No Falcon is as bad.
Thats because they dont exist, unless its a conversion. Coon wagons only got the 4 speed auto. Maybe a 5 speed manual in the early days? But the manuals are fucking shit for towing anyways.Originally posted by too_much_boost View PostDont think i've seen a falcon wagon with the 6 speed. You're illiterate, learn to interpret punctuation.Originally posted by MRMOPARMAN View PostYou're a fuckin headcase. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

I love the concept of them, but driveline parts will start getting a bit scarce.
Front prop shaft, which is known to fail, hasn't been offered new from Holden for about 7 years now. Would have be a custom jobbie, if a good used one couldn't be sourced.Originally posted by brewdlesIn short, some cunt at test and tune had a 250cc honda turning to 11ty and it sounded porn. Do that.

Just put two new ones in a mate's last week, non genuine of course, but less than $200 each brand new.Originally posted by Bob Vegana. View PostI love the concept of them, but driveline parts will start getting a bit scarce.

Mine eats up left front ones every 70k or so, and I have been putting genuine replacements in, last one in 2016, but no more, non genuine for that price is a bargain.Radical SR3
