Cashed up Corvette rednecks showing off their first mid engine car? Look out pedestrians, there's a new competitor for the Mustang's title.

Should be interesting. Big change for them. I'd imagine we will see them here eventually for an astronomical amount of money.

I know that you have to take what they say with a grain of salt but they did say that they were going to import a V8 "sports car", they being Holden (not HSV).
Unless I'm totally wrong in recalling that these things will be considerably more exxy than the C7 in the US (ie. a C7 ZR1 is between 911 GTS and 911 Turbo money), I think it'd be a hard sell here.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

I'm just glad that after 20+years of speculating a mid engine vette they finally made one.

I know it's mid engine, but the proportions looks wrong, not very corvette at all.

+1 doesn't look like a Corvette, but looks better than a Supra. :p

original designer wants it to be mid engine
GM says no and makes front engine
lives its whole life front engine
                    designer still wants mid engine
                    many offspring front engine
                    now becomes mid engine
                    seems wrong

If your ever going to change the look of a Corvette shirley the time it would happen is when the whole layout changes from FR to MR?
Pretty hard to keep it looking like a C6 or 7 and also have a V8 behind your head.

Yep, proportions have changed a little. Driver not sitting in the rear half of the car anymore. Looks much more generic supercar now (still not a bad thing).
I'm not straight outta Compton, I'm straight out the trailer.
