Eight cars went down. 3 were repaired & 5 weren't.
"Of the Corvettes swallowed by the earth in 2014, five were deemed beyond reasonable repair, including a 1984 PPG Indy Car World Series Pace Car; a 1993 ZR-1 Spyder; a 1993 40th Anniversary coupe; a 2001 Mallett Hammer Z06; and the 1.5-millionth Corvette assembled, a 2009 convertible. Instead of being scrapped, the cars were preserved in their damaged state and placed on exhibit in the museum, where they remain a popular attraction with visitors."

C8.R testing at Daytona. New engine, sound is a bit off (in that I'm not 100% sure if it is Corvette or other cars you can hear). Still sounds great.

Two Chevrolet Corvette C8 engineering test cars impounded, drivers arrested for street racing

Police in Bowling Green, Kentucky, USA – where the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette will be made – stopped two engineering test cars after they were allegedly street racing and exceeding the posted 45mph (72kmh) speed limit by more than 26mph (42kmh).

Under Kentucky law that’s deemed an excessive speed and leads to automatic confiscation of the car and a trip to jail to process the driver before being released.

According to reports by USA’s Automobile magazine and Kentucky TV station WNKY 40, one of the Corvette drivers was reportedly clocked at 120mph (193kmh) while there other was written up for travelling at 100mph (160kmh). A third Corvette in company with the other two cars was reportedly “not participating in the racing”.

Whats the latest on pricing in Australia? Is it still around 180k?

Hopefully the article holds some merit: https://www.whichcar.com.au/news/corvette-c8-pricing

If our source, who cannot be named, is correct, the asking price for the C8 could well see enthusiasts getting a decent slice of change from $150,000, which would make the Corvette extremely strong value.

If you compare the GR Supra in the US, they are 54k USD for the premium or 103k drive away here for the GTS. The C8 pov spec in the US are 59,995 so 'technically' the C8 pov spec here should be about 120-130 drive away. Add a little more for the Z51 pack and theoretically should be 140-145k drive away.

Hopefully if Holden wants to stick around they wont overshoot the price.
