Is it armor plated? You know the brash of Company Director kidnapps in the 80's.. Looks like it's got armour plating, why so dear? Sorry, to me that just looks off. Each to their own.

I would disagree. This car is not optioned. a fully optioned Brock Director was 83k .. this car would have been around 55k new... a completely non optioned director was about 50k

I have also heard thru the grapevine from reliable sources there is also another director for sale for 75k .. a fully optioned example.

If I remember correctly the HDT Director has a 32 piece bodykit, which is a tad excessive....

yes there is know doubt it has depreciated but the comment i was commenting on was "why leave it in the garage and let it depreciate "

and my reply was something that rare wont depreciate much more than what it is at now it will only get better being so rare.

Supprisingly enough, with all the amount of plastic on the walky's they are proven to be aerodynamically better than without all that plastic...

Rare it may be... for good reason i'd say !!

I'd even take a Walky over that, regardless of how rare it may be. Still each to their own i guess.
Umm, doesn't do it for me either. Still, Walkies remind me of those Storm Trooper guys from Star Wars - with the white all over plastic uniforms.

Seriously, what could have been put in these cars to make them retail for 83k back in the late 80's? That is a serious amount of dosh for a car back then.

What were the options then? Did they have a fuel injected motor etc.?

I think that one would have had a nissan RB30ET (fuel injected, turbo charged - making about 150kw). Not bad for a car made in the 1980s

if that was a japanese car all of the holden fans would be screaming "RICE!".

it's funny the way when one of their own favourite cars was unfortunate enough to smash into the back of an overturned cement mixer full of fibreglass they dont seem to care.
