how often to you "change" your cars?

jeez. Im not having a good track record. Im on my 4th car after only 11 months of driving. None accidents just get bored easily. And im trying to sell my current car to move onto my fith. But its not to bad when its cars around the 4k-6k bracket. Most hold their price alright.

I tend to be fussy when it comes to cars so I take ages to decide what I want and then longer again to find the right example. Thus I tend to hang onto them for a while.

I'm hopeless with cars too.

I used to be real bad with road cars when i was younger changing cars every few months.
But then I got my XR6 when I was 19 & kept it for just over 4 years.

I think the reason I kept it so long was I was always doing something to it. Even when it was for sale I had something planned just in case I didn't sell it.

My current car I've had for 7 months & it's for sale now. Just looking for a change again. I'll probably get a 4 Runner or similar. Something that should tow the race car & also have some fun on the weekends.

I've had 8 cars since i started driving (1998), im thinking of selling current car (VK V8) and i want to get a VH 6, and a project Torana, then after that i think i will settle down :D

LOL! I am told this all the time you cant go back from a turbo, but I went from 2 turbos to 2 V8s!

As for the original question I seem to change my cars every 1 - 2 years.

Hrmm i haven't had my license for that long but i'm currently on my 3rd car.

The first one was a VH commodore waggon (shaggon waggon) loved that car. Second being a ford courier 4x4 spacecab, great fun in the mud. My current ride is a 99 suzuki baleno.

Hopefully going to finally get forced induction this year be either a 2lt converted Lancer GSR, or get me a nice EVO 1,2 or 3. But there are so many others on the list too..............

I had my first car for 2 and a half years, Series 2 Mazda RX7..

Sold that and bought a 2002 WRX..

THIS one is a keeper, its going to stay with me for years and years

My next car will be an additional car, either a brand new STi, or something silly like a s7 RX7 or GTR, but I will STILL have this car (as a family car maybe?)...

hmmm, had the Pulsar SSS since new (13years), Monaro (7-8years.. can't remember when got that exactly!) and VS Clubby since new (5years)... planning on replacing the Pulsar with a Tribute/Forester/? sometime soonish (1-2years!)
