Considering my budget is around $1500 for this car, i don't think i would be able to afford much.

Hopefully with enough searching i can pick up an ae86 for around $1500. Doubt it though.

      82 old?

      HAHAHA!

      Damn im pathetic! (read:old) :D

Im looking at a KE15 at the moment for my next project.....

My grandparents had a 1.5 litre (I think) 85 model...it was an awesome car...used almost no fuel and was very reliable...now my cousin owns it and it is still bullet proof....

      I love Corollas...

I've got myself a 79 KE55 - auto - 1.3L Its the slowest car I've ever driven, and will not spin the wheels. I've tried first gear, around a round-about- in the wet, and it will not spin! But I'm not complaining coz i knew it was slow when I bought it, and its just lil car to run around in. It does look pretty cool though
I've got an 81 KE55 manual, and yes it's the slowest car I've ever driven too. But hell it's fun. And yes I can spin the wheels off the line in 1st dry or wet, and I can pull skids in 2nd and 3rd gear (and 4th and 5th in the wet) Quite scary really.

Oh, and it was dynoed at 32.1hp atrw.
