    the requirement is for brightness AFAIK. if it is darker than a specific rating when illuminated, then it's illegal. they can be made legal but the brightness needs to be checked. window tint places and some rego check places can test this. however, you will then need to convince the cops that it is legal, and as most cops know less about the law than my grandmother when it comes to cars, you need to keep this in mind when you do it.

      i brought some of this yesterday, dont recomend it, its tottaly ****ed up. oh and its $14.50 a can

        i used Nightshades on my torana taillights. it looks like shit if you dont put a clear coat over it. it goes a matt sort of black but with a clearcoat it looks alright.
