i smoke but i dont drink.
to me drinking (getting pissed) is an antisocial, pointless and usually destructive past time.
so hey, if i am not drinking i have to do something with my hands :D

Being asthmatic - tho not as bad as i used to be - it was terrible to be around someone smoking as you'd start wheezing within seconds.

here (brissy) when ever i go out with mates to all the "car type meeting places" (lol) no one really is.
its to expensive if u ask me!. on ofmy mates spends about $60-80 a week on smoking

Funnily enough, all my mates here in Brisbane from these forums do not smoke bar 3 or 4 of us, so I believe it is going the other way rather than seeing more people smoke.

Antisocial, NO! As long as your not so blind you piss yer pants, or offend anyone else there is no problem, its not the fact your drunk that makes it antisocial, its the attitude and mood you are in before you start drinking.

How many people do you know who dont smoke, but when you goto a nightclub they do!, I know heaps!

I smoke. I actually started due to a chemical reaction from excessive amounts of adrenalin being produced in my body due to my fast car........................

I also hear non-smokers have a special gland that fights this reaction and makes them better people..........

I think the opposite is true. I went out last night and although I bought a few drinks for a few mates, I didn’t stand there and force anyone else in the room to drink alcohol or leave. Unfortunately I smoked half a pack of cigarettes. I don’t smoke, but being in a room full of smoke you have no choice. I think that is very antisocial.

I think I know what kind of behaviour you are referring to and alcohol does not turn people into dickheads, it’s just something dickheads use as an excuse. It’s become so bad that courts accept alcohol as a defence on the grounds of diminished capacity.

Some people have a few drinks and are prone to committing assault. Others light up a smoke in the presence of people who don’t smoke and that in itself is assault and very anti-social. I think smacking a smoker in the face should be acceptable on the grounds of self defence.

the reason i started, well there were a lot of reason.. including the fact that i needed a stimulant for the lifestyle i was living at the time... smokes did the job... but once it finished i found it hard to quit.. but hey.. you get that.. i guess thats why its addictive huh...

all those people that just whinge about smokers.. well piss off and dont be near them if you dont like the smell..

i also used to drink way more than i do now..

i got nothing against smokers. 2/3 of my mates smoke, i let em smoke in my car aslong as the windows down.
