The Future of Lakeside - Meeting Tomorrow

As most of you will be aware, Lakeside in Brisbane was closed for racing in 2001 when purchased by Pine Rivers Shire Council. The fight to get Lakeside opened again for club level motor sport and driver training, has been a long one. Now that the circuit is to be Heritage listed, our chances might have been substantially improved.

There will be a meeting at 10am tomorrow (22/2/03) at "Red Dog Petroleum" at the intersection of Dohles Rocks Rd, Narangba Rd & Anzac Ave, Kallangur. The purpose of the meeting is to form a common interest group to convince the council to reopen the circuit.

Please try to attend this meeting if you have an interest in this issue. Show your support for one of Australia's most historic and challenging tracks. Don't let it go the same way as Surfers Paradise, Amaroo and so many other great Australian racing circuits.

    Cheers,

    Cal.

Lakeside rocks! I raced my old car there once and loved it, much better to drive than Qld Raceway. :D
