I couldn't get a piece of that tape stuff through into the cabin, I used a hacksaw blade and slid it down between the door seal + window and started pushing around the lock mechanism and hit jackpot, (i had a play with the locking mechanism when i pulled the door trims off so i kinda knew what i was doing)

check the rear quarter window rubber, nearly every car has the rubber pushed in from breakins....
