so a person could have, for some reason put ceptors on their car with perfectly legal tread, and you'd defect them..... for what. If a cop did that to you i bet you'd have a whinge.

Im gathering the fronts would have to be the same and the rears would have to be the same. Front and rear could be different though if ya get me. say "X" width on front and "y" width on the back.

im with ROLIN i was there last year and it was farken ridiculous there were cars coming onto the main straight doing about 80-120 then accelerating very quickly to the 200 mark, then every so often a car would slow down on the left side or the straight and do a burnout,by the way i dont mean any normal skid one of the guys doing this was Gary Myers in his mustang so were talking about alot of smoke,i think the worst was that red peice of shit mustang burnout car with the v10 in it , the idiot stopped on the left of the straight started his skid couldnt control it and went into a donut at about half track, three cars only just missed him and each other.............all this while only a few ppl had helmets on and most cars were full of passengers without seatbelts on. and my personal favourite was a guy doing at least 180-200 talking on his mobile phone down the main straight, With situations like that its a matter of when not if.
          wogs are people too

So tell me a reason why would put pursuities on the back, while leaving your nice 16s/17s/18s on the front, other than intending to burn rubber?

drift takes skill yep.. pity most of the ****heads have no skill and just smash their cars up cuasing insurance to go up.

a good burnout takes skill.. same as anything really, if you want to be good you've goto have skill.. sure standing on the brake is easy, but combining various elements(dohnuts, slow slides etc) takes some effort.

on that note, i see more idiots in imports these days than v8's.. benig the "fad" car for the momment it was bound to happen... end of story is theres idiots in both camps, so dont try to bring the forum down to your pathetic level with this "knuckle dragger" bs.

                        Yeah?

And if i was a cop i'd book anything that had a bodykit, blow off valve or a big arse MITSUBISHI sticker on my front windscreen.

Not to make a generalisation of course, but if they have shit like that on their car they're sure to be a god-damned-street-racer that cant drive for shit - i'd be stupid not to defect them straight away.

Mate. It's retarded attitudes like that which allows people to get booked on the street because they "look like trouble". God forbid that cops may hand out defective notices on cars that are actually DEFECTIVE.

If you got a yellow sticker for something trivial like that because a cop made an assumption about you - you'd be on PF straight away whinging.

Do us a favour and try to put in a little thought before posting such utter crap.

I agree with Jaboff. Wots the big attraction of a burnout. Its a bit different if they are drifting which takes skill to do it properly, but a 2 yo could just do a burnout.

Hang on, why are they wankers? why the fark would you go on with your good rims and tyres and smoke up your good tyres? there was some big hp drag cars and street machines out there with stocky's, i'm sorry we all havent got unlimited funds to smoke up good tyres. Yes some of them do drive around like that but you will find most of them change wheels before going home.
Not hard to do a burnout? I agree drifting takes skill i've seen the vids, they are amazing, but tell me honestly the burnouts Gary Myers, Peter and Debbie Gray, Shannon Peterson etc do doesnt take any skill, anyone yeah true can do a liney on a speed hump just the same as anybody can hang the arse around a corner, but it takes alot of skill to do it properly. It's funny if someone does a burnout there a knuckle dragging bogan but if someone does a drift doesnt matter where it's fully sick reh....
                              Agree with you completely Summoner

Gee glad I put on the flame suit. But seriously, tell me why the cops are defecting so many cars for ridiculas things. Especially P platers driving modded cars?I hear people saying the cops are jealous . Cr@p. Reason? They are sick of people ringing them up complaining about guys doing burnouts outside their house and in public carparks. I hardly ever see old
sh!tboxes full of rust , blowing smoke with the front guard hanging off with a canary on the window. It's the cars that go around advertising to the cops, "hey I love doin burnouts" . I would like to know of one street without atleast 1 blackie on it.
It would be hard to find. There is a petition getting around aimed at the cops for harrassing modded cars with stupid defects
but alot of people bring it on themselves and worse still, give others a bad name. There are plenty of places to do that , if thats your bag, but not where it's going to come back and bite you.
                                Does that make any sense?
