hmm, what about motorcyclists up the hard shoulder on the centenary motorway inbound of a weekday morning, perhaps police should crackdown on that before someone gets injured....

I see the cops sitting in their own little lane on the Mains Rd onramp quite often. I love seeing the wankers in Mitsu Express vans etc that seem to be in such a hurry (obviously late for a meeting with the board of directors) get booked.

They were sitting there yesterday morning. I don't understand why they'd bother on a Sunday morning...

The thing that shits me to tears is when you do have like 2 (for T2) or 3 (for T3) people in the car so you hop in the T2/3 lane and their is some retard ahead of you doing like 90km/h.

It an extra lane but only for people with 3 or more people in the car plus buses, taxi's ect. So basicaly when its peak hour and a traffic jam people can save time by going in these lanes. The idea of course is to encourage people to car pool ect so the goverment can get away with not upgrading roads as often.

There was a story last night on one of the current affairs programs about it. The cops are going to have a crack down around Brisbane. Good. About time they focussed some attention on this sort of thing.

and so you can get away with not paying shitloads in extra taxes to pay for constant road upgrades!

I saw the so called "Police Crackdown" this morning on the Lutwyche Rd T3 lane. As I was coming down the hill from Lutwyche (just before it goes uphill towards Freedom and Bris Car Sound) there was a car pulled over with a policeman talking to the driver.

Stupid thing was this copper had directed the person to pull over IN the T3 lane so basically no-one could travel in that lane as there was a stopped car in the way getting a talking to by the Police - real clever! Plus the policeman was standing on the drivers side of the car so he had his butt hanging out waiting for someone to smack him on the way past in their car!

And even after all this the copper let the person go with no ticket?!?!?! Nice crackdown!

What's the rule for motorbikes in T2/T3 lanes? If you're in a T2 lane, do you have to have a pillion? And WTF are we meant to do with a T3 lane?! :D

Sounds like a silly question but often the rules regarding lane choice are a little different for bikes (no lane-splitting comments please) given their reduced seating capacity and the govt encouraging their use in built-up areas.

motorbikes are allowed in transit lanes
they do not need a passenger to do so
