I wouldn't buy magazines for tech tips- but I don't believe everything off forums. I also think zoom used to be quite informative, but yeah, I agree, its gone to shit. Ah well. In fact since the technical component of magazines have plummeted so far, the only one I actually buy on a regular basis is speed-I know the tech stuff will be crap, but compared to other magazines out there, its an aesthetic masterpiece, good layouts, nice big glossy pages and good photos-and, like it or not, some cool cars.
But I mean, on the net (not just forums), its basically instant, it can be specific to your answer, or somewhat fatser than a reply once a month, the advertising that needs to be waded through is so much smaller, and if the info is out there, you will eventually find it, whereas its only selected articles of mass interest that get into the print mags-and its CHEAP- 40c a go, not $8-9.00.
cheers,

I got pretty much all of the info to mod my car from a US forum specific to Galant VR4's, hell I even got a modified chip through one of the guys on there that gives me launch control/flat shift and a indicator of the knock the ECU is seeing.
