Keen to check out this Enjo thing.

I bought a leather chamois once and once only. I tried to give it a shot I really did. But they are just too hard to use properly and take care of. And they come full of some oily wax stuff?!

Synthetic all the way.. I find my Meguiars one has lasted a couple of years now, which is pretty decent I think.

Purists will probably disagree with me though.

Problem with synthetic chamois (and the Enjoy thing) is that they have been dyed in various different colours, which will leave residue on the paint.

Best thing to use is 100% cotton white towels , wont scratch, wont leave any residue.

I've never heard of "preparing" a real leather chamois; I just let 'em soak in water until they're properly wet & then use them. I keep hearing people say how good the plastic ones are, but I've not had a good experience with one; a year or two ago I was told how good the "Kanebo" (sp?) brand was, but I tried one & it unimpressed me.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

I find the best ones are the chamois people use to dry themself off when after swimming (the "pro's") can buy em from any sports shop, and they soak up water VERY well. Not sure what they are made of, but very good at soaking up the water, easy to keep clean and don't leave any scratches or material on the car. I've had much better experience with these then I ever had using any meguiars chamaois.

i had a leather one but i left it outside and it went rock hard and its shitty now, so i bought a synthetic one.. mindyou it was only like $18 or something.. but when I dry the car it just leaves streaks all over the windows.. the rest of the car is okay though..

but its only a celica so anything goes :p
