InsaneVL ahs something to say about the light emitting from your car and impersonating a cop. Naughty boy!

There is only one thing worse than a car with neon and that is a bike. There is yamaha FZR (crappy) with blue neons on his bike and at least three other bikes in the brisbane area. Maybe its a speed thing?

They look so utterly terrible on most cars its not funny. Fair enough if its a really really modified car they can look passable, but on all these Silvia's, Lancer's, that are stock as a rock with neons it looks so so stupid.

As far as i have been told by my old man who has been a mechanic for years in victoria, any device fitted which can distract other road users or the driver is defectable, eg neons, blue led windscreen squirters, etc. If you have them on whilst driving i think you're just asking for the cops to pull you over, its bad enough trying not to get them to notice you instead of highlighting yourself literally for them...

And to add to that from talking to a copper by using any other colour lights on your car u could be impersonating a emergency vehicle

Yankees in Japan often replaced the blubs in their headlights and parkers to white, blue, red whatever. Very annoying as more then often it makes me think a copper is about to pull me over.

Note: Yankee is the term in Japan to describe the younger generation or basically those who think they are cool, dressing up in Afro-American street style clothing, wearing chains, coloured hair, piecing, tattoos, driving kitted vans & old American cars- lowriders & Vips with loud exhaust, seating almost horizontal when driving, hugh sound systems and drive with the boot open making sure his brothers/sisters can hear them 1-2km away, neons and in car disco lighting etc...OK I think you get the picture...

How about your horn, headlights, indicators tail lights etc? They are all capable of distracting other road users....

There is no full on rice like the States or how we interpret it in Australia...I haven't seen any lancer's with Evo kits or Civics with hugh wings or neons...in fact I'm starting to believe S13 and 180SX is getting ricey...as widely defined the word rice is, I'd say turbo cars can be rice in the manner of inappropriate and probably unfunctional. I've see more stupidly hugh wings, neons on those then any other cars here *flame suit on*...oh there was one B4 which pulled up next to me the other day which I couldn't believe had a GT wing at least over 1/2 meter high off the boot.

how about the above are used for indicating intentions to other motorists, offering better vision on the road ahead, etc.

neons merely indicate a deficiency of intellect. they're illegal, therefore why use them?
