Geminis crack heads all the time. Get a Corolla, you can thrash them as much as you want and nothing will go wrong.

If you've got 3k, spend 1k on a 1982 KA Laser and another 1k on a rings and bearing rebuild and new bushes all round (possibly new shocks too, depends on how much work you do yourself and how much you can buy the parts for) and you'll have a car that'll never break down.

My first laser which was a shitter I got for free from the people next door and its been flogged for a good 3 years now as well as teaching 2 learner drivers to drive a manual and endless amounts of "smokey rollback" burnouts etc.... The only thing I did to it was a rings and bearing rebuild cause it blew smoke ($800 and I paid someone else to do it).

Anyway, if you need any more convincing.....
.o( sometimes I think i'd be better off dead. no wait, not me. you )

rejectionline.com.au - Its probably useful to someone.

OMG, check out the chick on the far right in the pink........ talk about retro 80's at its best!! (or worst, depending which way you think of it)

that laser advert is scary. in fact, my avatar shows the equivilant advertisement for the GE sigma, but its far more tasteful than the laser ad.

this is where i'd suggest the sigma as "a shitter for <3K" but i wont, as a corolla is a more reliable alternative. still, keep your eye out in case you spot a decent 'granny spec' siggy.

Forg, I *may* know where theres one for sale lol

As if the Lucas jokes arent getting a bit old now though, I havent ever had an electrical problem in a Triumph, and I don't know of many carbied 2.5's that have been killed, in fact about the only things that arent understressed are 1st gear in manuals and the clutches
