arnie alone was getting something like $60mil US to just DO the fkn movie... these days half the cost of movies is paying the damn fkn actors :s

that aside.. all thangs Terminator :worship: and i dont think arnie would have let T3 be overly shithouse

I think Arnie already said he would do T4.

BTW If you want to spoil yourself, there is some site on the web that has printed the whole story line to T3.

I can see how actors justify their rates, I don't have a problem with it. Not only do they make the story come alive, duh, essentially they are products and they themselves determine who will and won't see a movie. Apart form all the marketing and the hype about opening weekends etc - Just having a Tom Cruise or a Tom Hanks in your movies no matter how crap, means big dollars at the box office, it aint rocket science. If I was part of a product and people were buying it and I am essentially responsible for the millions of dollars of revenue, I would sure as hell want a slice of the pie! I am sure actors adjust there wages according to the artistic merit to the budget merit as well, just think of an actor that has been in an "arty" film as well as an "action, big budget flick" and I think the wages in respective films would be quite different.

        It is all relative.

$800 million dollars......There would only be about 5 movies ever made that would have broken even.

T3 cost approx. $170 million, Arnie was paid $30 million to do this film, but he used that to pay for some special effects and stunts used in the movie.

          $800 million dollars, lol.

Plus the story in T1 actually works. You can't have the product of a future that never happens walking around in the present; that's downright Star Trekkian.

But yeah, T1 was something original, and while predictable it's still cool that Hicks was the annoying little sprog's father. John was always going to send him back, because he was John's papa so John wouldn't have existed. I'm told Mr Biehn didn't hit the cutting-room floor of T3 like he did in T2 ...

About 4 different versions of T3 have been floating around the net for the last 2 weeks. Its old news. This may come as a shock, but the hulk came out on the net 1 month before its offical release at the US box office. I'm not defending this stuff, but what you said is very ignorant. And by the way, they caught the guy who supplied the hulk, and he well be serving time with bubber.

I think Bubba hates it when people get the spelling of his name wrong; and he gets out tomorrow ... :D

It's a slightly different issue with The Hulk though, the rip on the 'net was an "inside job" 'cos it hadn't been released at the movies yet. T3, on the other hand, has been out in the USA for 2 weeks already, so there'll undoubtedly be a few screeners floating around (although they're such low-quality abominations that I don't understand why anyone would bother).

Bubba tends to get a little psychotic when people get his name wrong (he's crazy about capitalisation too), and as he gets out tomorrow you'd better watch your back ... :D

You must admit, there's a difference between T3 (which has been released for 2 weeks in the USA now) & The Hulk (which had copies available on the 'net before cinema release). The thing with The Hulk had to be an "inside job", whereas with T3 anyone with a handycam can make a copy (crappy quality though they always are).

I hope bubba doesn't give me an anal drilling for getting his name wrong

Anyway, the Hulk version that came out on the net 1 month before release was a "workprint". It was a work in progress. The CG scenes where not yet fully rendered. As for T3 releases, well the first ones where cam, very poor quality, but the last release was known as a telecine. Think laser disc at higher res, and you'll get the picture as to the quality. Its amazing these days what they can do with a video camera.

I'm probably reading too much into it and should just sit back and enjoy the movie. But when I was watching T2 the other day a thought occured. That Dison guy gets killed, they destroy all the parts from the 1st terminator, and the current terminator. Hence stopping skynet and the machines taking over in the future. So wouldn't that mean that in the future John Connor wouldn't send back his father to protect his mother, therefore he wouldn't knock her up and John Conner would not exist?

Now we all know the events of the first 2 movies don't stop the machines from rising up because there is a 3rd movie. Does that mean that even in the 3rd or the rhumoured 4th movie they don't stop skynet taking over?

If they do stop skynet, then what would be the reason for John sending his father back in time. When he gets back to the 80's he tells sarah that "for the future of the human race I have been sent back in time to knock you up" Hell if that works i'm going to use that line next time i'm at a club....
