Adventra - surely they could have come up with a slightly less gay sounding name. It sounds like an Amazonian Villain from Xena...

          /puts on flame suit...

I quite like that Territory thing... doesn't look too bad. Bit "bloaty", but not bad otherwise... Big wheels though.

          /prepares for grilling.

Much like the Commodore Lumina.....Chevy Lumina.....why invent a new lame name when a lame one already exists?

Personally I hate em both because I know, one day, I'll be behind one while it does 35 in a 60 zone with 6 kids in the back and the mum driver doesn't know where to park.

They both just look like overinflated sedans from each camp anyway. (ie, Territory looks like a BA Falcon, Adventra looks like a VY Commodore, just....well....bigger)

I hate urban 4wd's as you may have guessed.

the advantra is a 4WD commodore wagon

the territory is a new platform it does what a 4WD can do and a road car can do, and can do what both cant do

              nuff said.

The territory is someone never seen before from ford anywhere in the world.

                What a load of bull

It is no more versatile than the Adventra thing.

If that's true, it's still better than Adventra.

The bullshit he was referring to wasn't the statement about it being a "new" vehicle, it was the bit about the Terrortory having more offroad ability as well as onroad ability. The Terrortory has no more offroad ability than any other lame-arse "soft roader" like CRV, HRV, XC70, etc etc etc; they just jacked it up & restyled it uglier to appeal to the "soft roader" buyer.

Although I've preferred Falcons for a few model generations now, I'd go the Commodore if I were getting an AWD wagon ...
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

... I don't understand the late obsession with 4X4's ethier, but if just a handlful of families opt for one of these vehicles over a Landcrusier or other unwieldly large 4X4, I'll endorse them in spades.

i reckon the territory looks good, but eh im a ford fan.. true it looks stark in all white... but notice it has no badges and stuff like that yet... all those little things that soften the look will be added upon release... and im sure there are more colours to choose from.. sure look good in blueprint i reckon :D

and also it doesnt look anything like a BA wagon.... aside from the headlights, which are changed slightly as well..

the adventra on the otherhand looks exactly like a commodore wagon on a lift kit
