Maybe useless, but its off season therefor any smidgen of F1 will be discussed to no end. Hell look at the discussion on the comment webber made about klein.

All i can say is bring on next year so we don't have to spend time over comments which would usually be just another byline.

what sort of 1/4 mile time would the Ferrari F1 car be expected to make on a dry track?

Take the event for what it is, purely a publicity event. Don’t get too hung up about the results of the outcome. I saw this on the news, why did Schumacher refuse to comment? He looked so serious, sore loser cry-baby syndrome? Entertaining nonetheless

yeah a few years ago when the 996 911 GT3 was released they got it to race a Mirage or something like that. Needless to say, the jet demolished the Porsche.

Don't forget that F1 cars are running Traction Control and Launch Control. These will have helped immensely with the times.

Not to mention the Ferrari would have been setup purely for straightline speed, as little wing as possible, and maybe low fuel loads and softer rear suspension settings etc etc

the Countach v Mirage (or whatever) was Paul Halstead I think, and I remember the story said he prepared by making the car lighter by taking a piss

I read on F1-live that Ferrari made some aerodynamic changes to the car but I can't imagine they would have been too significant. They may have been outside the FIA rules but more likely to be just a decrease of wing angle..
