Cookie.. I have a grand plan, and I think I should be able to get the Xmember in and out without a drama as long as I lift the engine about 20 mm in the bay with the hoist, and then it's just 6 bolts and the X member is out.
see you saturday around 9 then
... got garage it's just smallish!! no lawn or garden at all either.. shame we need to put the hoist in the ute.. I'd bring the RX-8 for a strap...
smee.. either Rod Kilby, since he built the 1st one- correct??( which means I'll be making 2 trips to canberra pre Dell- so expect a visit!) or Arthur Jackson will be doing the new one so I have no qualms to I can get another one no dramas so I might do that.. good idea..
I thought the plates on the bottom were just tapped for the bolts?? having bolts welded in makes sense...
I shall search my folder for the part no's for the plates, even though spac tells me they are ill eagle according to the badly worded book... but gemini series regs say you can...
Hoonboy-- you can earn beer if you come over and help me do the work if you like
Southo -thanks for the PM but it's under control
Cheers boys
