So the police can either let me off or stick with the charge. This means i will have to go to court to downgrade the charge ? If so the cops probly would not let me off because of mistakes would they ?

Thanks for your input i will let you know how it goes it will probly take alot of time though.

I am not 100% sure but I think I was told that when dealing with the IPB a few years ago. I have no idea as to the power of the court when downgrading / dismising charges. If you phone the the IPB they will be able to tell you if this is correct.

Just a thought, another way to try and cause havic with the IPB is to write a cheque to them for a few dollars more than the fine. Someone told be (perhaps it is an urban ledgend) that they have to send you a cheque for the difference and the points cannot take effect until the cheque is cashed. I tried it once but managed to have the fine dismissed before they cashed my cheque. Personally I don't think it would work but there is nothing to lose (except for an extra dollar) and you might discover a loop hole .
