I'd guess a relay burnt out, hopefully not the ECU itself

I had a similar situation with (large Victorian auto club) down here in Victoria. I had their Batteries department replace a battery for me.
The fella replaced the battery and was on his merry way. I drove straight to a destination 10 minutes away and when I arrived I noticed the car was pissing out coolant from the battery area.
The LPG vaporizer is located next to the battery, and he had accidentally broken one of the plastic water fittings that run to it.
I called the roadside assistance department of the club. I explained the situation to the fella he said get in touch with the battery fella, their all insured and get it fixed. I was thankfully still able to get home on petrol after the vaporizer was bypassed.
The battery manager said yeah no worries we'll fix it here is the address of an LPG place that will do the work. I take the car there, the guy informs me that to replace the plastic fitting you have to pull the vaporizer apart and the internals will fall apart. The best (and cheapest) option for you will be to put in a reco vaporizer. I gave him the go ahead (I’m not paying after all).
Next thing I know I've got the battery manager on the phone whining how expensive the vaporizer is to replace $330 fitted, and how he would like me to pay half. lol I informed him all I wanted was for the vehicle to perform as it was before his worker had buggered it up.
He rang me again and came up with another bout of Bullsh*t and again I reiterated what I had said the first time. Begrudgingly he accepted that they were actually liable.

Yeah a lot of people (in business) will kick up a stink and whinge and moan, but if you stick to your guns, and you are right (which in this case you are, 300TT) then you will normally get what you are requesting..
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.
My car broke down yesterday and wouldn't start... i called out RACQ and after being there for 1 minute with a multimeter, he said it was a solenoid and for me to go buy a new one from supercheap. I said this was fine, but could he pull it out for me so i can compare the parts (rare car) and wait there and reinstall it for me (supercheap was a 1 minute drive down the road) He then proceeded to tell me that due to me not being a member, he is not obliged to help me, even though he lightened my wallet of $80 for that 1 minute of work, and then he took off.
We went to supercheap to get the part, replaced it, and it still didn't fuckin work
I'm glad the guy that came out today (after joining RACQ last night) wasn't the same one otherwise he woulda copped a mouthful of abuse
