these guys are supporters of PCA and have now been bitched to about scruby...LOL

Eva Martinez - Australian Institute of Traffic Planning and Management
Fiona Campbell (Treasurer) - Representing Bicycle Australia
Stan Imer - Representing Council on the Ageing
Anthony O'Connell (Secretary) - Representing Federation of Parents and Citizens Association
Michael Simpson - Representing Royal Blind Society and the Blindness Sector
Ross Turner - Representing Paraquad, ACROD and the People with Disabilities Sector

In the short term, all I need to know is you guys are keen.
Once the site is up, then I'll need research and articles, and a list of influential email addresses, or postal addresses.
Then under the group umbrella, to individually send messages to the nominated people or organisations. one letter sent 60 times by different people to each destination will be noticed more than if sent once by one person.

At this early stage there's not much for you guys to do unless you want to start writing and gathering!

What I DO need is at least 4 other people willing to be board members so I can get an association registered. this way no individual will be liable for any legal action.
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

              Jim,

good on you for taking this on. It is about time there wasa pro active group to defend 'our-side' of the story. Not interviews of dickheads that make us 'hoons' look bad.

It would be interesting if one day a rebuttle for such articles that Scuby and co have their 'expert' opinion published in, comes from a group like you're trying to start here.

I'm in London - UK correspondant perhaps? But have full access to European Law and Regulations (I work for a company that is one of the biggest traffic engineering firms in the UK) so they may be of help at some stage.

Anything I can do to help from here, i'll have a crack.

              Cheers,

              C+

                  im in

how far do you want this to go, id place a million on the fact that a proper coup and take over of the entire road safety system is possible (ive been seriously toying with the idea in my head for a while now but was waiting for some other stuff first), while it would no doubt give the best results for the ppl of Australia we would be talking serious cost in both time and money and you could place money of the fact that anyone of significance would end up with a "random" audit

What do you need from a board member? ill do it

im happy to offer serious help if its only a small thing as well but i have been thinking of moving overseas for a while now so getting the gov really pissed off at me could be fun

Having a look at these websites:

Having something which looks serious and professional than those would be a huge help...

On another tangent, did anyone see Harold on the news last night calling for a tougher fines for people talking on phones while driving?

While on his site link, he clearly shows his photos taken from the drivers side of a moving car....

I'm starting to get noticed, I received this this morning :p

I am my own person and represent that of a concerned pedestrian and driver. The response I receive will depend on where I go from here. I have spoken to some fifty people who all feel the same way as I do, and have asked me to form a group if no positive response is perceived, which I am happy to do though I really have neither the time nor interest in politics to do so, but this sort of behavior has been frustrating me for some time now.

                      Thanks for your time,

                      (name).

Count me in - I'll do whatever I can (could help with marketing/promotion).

Have you thought about letting Wheels or Motor magazine know about this?

Yes, but I think I should wait until I have a site up with all the details on it.

Anyone have any accounting skills or background?

Wheels themselves over the last few issues, have been running a similar campaign to what is being proposed here, they may be worth contacting.
