couldn't find a 240Z 432 unfortunately, that and the KPCG10 GTR would be my favourites

While we have a few old school datto lovers in here, just wondering if anyone knows how many of the Bluebird 410 and 411s came into australia? I'd love to get my hands on one of these one day, but they do seem to be quite rare.

Edo there was an SP311 Silvia for sale about 6 months ago up the Sunshine Coast, I can't remember how much for, but I think it was around the 13k mark.

Datto Z, there are a few of those around in Brisbane, there was one for sale near my place for $400 a little while back, I don't think they are extremely rare.

I'm pretty sure SP = Fairlady CSP = Silvia (as in c = coupe).

You're right fdrx7 CSP311 is the Silvia. SP310 for 1500 and SP311 for the 1600 Fairlady, SR311 for 2000 Fairlady. The ones that IMOA linked to with the 2 litre motor are not stock. The Silvias only came with a 1600 (R16) engine but a few have been fitted with either U20 SOHC or H20 OHV motors. The H and R are the same engine except that prior to 1967 the R series were not metric.

The CSP Silvias were pretty much the first Japanese production cars capable of going over 100mph (quoted top speed was 165km/h) so the Tokyo Highway Patrol had a few of them.

I'm always amused that the Fairlady was the "cheap" sports car while the Silvia was an expensive (almost twice the price of a Fairlady) luxury coupe but in the 70s that status was reversed.

The P410/411 Bluebirds were the first cars made in Australia by Nissan. There used to be a lot of them around but they weren't worth anything so most got crushed. I did see a couple for sale down in Bungendore (near Canberra) when I last drove through there a few months ago. The one you want is the rare SS model. It has the SP311 engine and goes quite well.

How much Italian design studio time in those Silvias? Very remeniscent of a number of ALFAs and FIATs from the same ear.

                      cheers

Looks Bertone for sure. But I am not sure if this model is exactly.

                          Edo,
There was one for sale in Vic recently. I think it was up in the Dandenongs. In need of a full restoration I think.
I can probably track it down for you if the same guy still owns it.
PM me if you are interested in one that needs work

The CSP311 was mostly designed by a Kazuo Kimura with refinement by Count Albrecht Graf Von Goertz (yes, a real German Count). Kimura went on to design the 510 and 610 Bluebirds. Goertz worked on another design for Nissan that "inspired" the Toyota 2000GT and then the 240Z.

The original 310 series Fairladies were designed by Hidehiro Iizuka. The updates for late 1965 were done by Kimura.

The 411 Bluebirds were designed by Bertone for Nissan. If anyone wants one (or two) there are a couple for sale in this week's Sydney Trading Post. There is a 1965 sedan and also a wagon. The guy is asking $500 for the pair. He is in Mascot and the phone number 0404 256 411.

Banzai: Thanks for the info on the 410/411. I'll be keeping my eyes out for any of them up here. I definitely agree a SS or SSS would be the go....if I can find one.
