Yes they are a transverse layout just like MR2s. Some of them use corolla running gear or celica running gear in the case of the 2ZZ exiges

there is a wiring guide, but i just got my mate to do it all because im retarded. ill see if i have a copy somewhere.

the guy who developed the cracked software is a top bloke. charges little, and knows his shit inside out. just buy an ecu and loom from him, comes pre flashed, and away you go
Ok if you find the wiring guide please post it up.

Also got a link to where you can buy the ecu/cracked software from?

      Thanks

Given people are asking 5kaud for sr20’s on Facebook marketplace this looks promising

They’re not doing anything that isn’t the same as the Standalone Barra guys are here. Just selling it as a neat bundle for what would end up being AUD15k ready to run in car. Not bad at all, and having auto and manual options means you could do a really cruisy low’n’slow thing that wouldn’t be actually slow or thirsty.

im not saying its cheap, but add a gearbox, convert to aud and shipping, you would be sitting at around 10k, but i dont think its too bad value either for total tunkey modern package.

As I said it’s about $15k in car here all taxes duties and stuff done. I’ve also allowed for fuel system and fresh clutch etc....

Its a good deal for a working solution, and you’d be flat out finding anyone in AU who could put it together as a working bundle without you being the test bunny.

Escort, Cortina or Capri with one of these and the boost turned up to 400hp would be a weapon and have a hope of handling.

And there I was on Thursday looking at a Lotus Esprit that needed an engine rebuild thinking that a Mustang Ecoboost motor would be an ideal replacement for the Lotus 2.2litre turbo motor.
If you dig a hole and it is in the wrong place, digging it deeper isn't going to help.

Not an orange widebody Esprit by any chance????

That would make a good thing with that conversion done.

Yes, but have you actually heard an ecoboost with a 'sporty' exhaust of some sort fitted? Couldn't pay me 10k to listen to that. They must be the worst sounding thing out, even moreso than the AMG A45. To be fair, any modern 4 cyl turbo sounds horrible. But the ecoboost is the 'leader' of the pack.

No, but that one up for auction at Shannons is tempting.

5k?! Hot damn, I was going to sell my SR turbo engine and box for 4k. I’m going to jack up the price.

no shit, erch bought a wrecker S15 motor for 3900. It came missing PCV, thermostat housing, all pulleys / harmonic balancer, manifolds, fucking everything. Needed new front / main seals, rocker cover gaskets etc. We forced him to return it and get a refund from spastic wreckers, then he impulse bought another s15 motor, this time complete, and with gearbox, for 5k, but looks almost as bad. People think these prices are normal
