Like it. Similar(ish) side profile lines to an STI hatch.

If I didn't have the yaris, I'd be keen on that.

I think I prefer my Corollas not looking like they're wearing puffy pants ... but if they drive goodly I can probably get over the trying-really-hard appearances.

+1 If it looks exactly like that and can be had for a discounted ~$46k D/A, I'll have to grab one. That bonnet vent gives me Evo9 vibes.

So ... it took me a while to realise that someone hadn't rendered an image to look as though it were printed in a magazine ...

Because that brings us to another great point. the Toyota GR Corolla will be cheaper than the Yaris. At least, worldwide. It remains to be seen what the Dutch price will be (CO2 slurp tax has to be tapped here), if the car comes to the Netherlands at all.

In terms of price, you should roughly think of the Hyundai Veloster N or a Ford Focus ST. That would still be around 50 grand in the Netherlands, roughly the starting price of the GR Yaris.

Haha oh the number of times you would crunch second as you try to smash the change to keep it in the supppper narrow gearing band.

They were a heap of fun to drive though.

These will sell - not sure why we are shitting on any company in 2021 building a non EV hot hatch. Good on them.

People pay $100k+ for an RS3 or AMG hatch. Crazy times.
