Will they be 4-5 times the price they should be, to coincide with the cars they're being fitted to.

This news has been around a while now, so many parts suggested for it - hopefully they take a leaf out of Nissan's book and deliver some good stuff.

The cost of the replacement headlights though... jesus fucking christ.

Also, period of production for the headlights (Series 1) is until Feb 2023... so a short run really. Wonder when Series 2 will hit, and then if this will remain a one off or if they will be able to product stock for years to come with additional runs.

Ford sells it's old tooling to Dennis Carpenter and his company is allowed to to put a "Ford Official Product" badge on it. Want a 1949 F-1 cab corner? Ford will tell you to phone Dennis

Toyota/Mazda and Nissan should do the same. Even if they allow the old manufacturers of the parts to reproduce them

Does Rare Spares buy the original tooling, or make their own?

Toyota sadly got rid of an awful lot of their tooling for the 80's and 90's cars, so a lot of what people have requested that they need wont be made in the future.

Personally, I think that so far, the items that they have offered up for sale, were more likely found in the back corner of a warehouse, but they claim them to be re-manufactured, in order to not look bad in comparison to Nissan's amazing historic car parts and services offered for their cars.

Oh....a brake booster, and a door handle....just what every Supra owner I know requested when Toyota asked for our most needed parts last year...
